I’ve collaborated with my friends from FURLA again, but this time we shot a moody AF editorial to accentuate their latest colour palette and sleek sleek lines, that is there new collection. Post fashion month, and pre new office, The State Library became my new home for the week and my credit card was replaced by an official library card. Their catalogue (the library) is still the most exciting online perusal I’ve had in a long time (yes, online! I was impressed). My first heat wave away from the beach had me back to an old love; Robert Longo. I remember studying his works in Year 9, a sweet re-discovery that has lead us to here, and now. Wowz.
Meet my alter-ego, Ichi ban Yan Yan. A disco dancing-samurai, which didn’t really come to fruition until the day of. I shot this with my long time friend and collaborator; Yasmin Suteja who recently acquired her own studio (Culture Machine Studios), which she has been shooting left, right, and center, in. She’s taught me the importance of mastering your trade. I’m still figuring out what mine is, but for now I’ll keep my alter-ego in check. .. ;)
